KAY MCMAHON CREATOR OF GOLF 8.5™, RECOGNIZED AS TOP 50 LPGA TEACHER

Top 50 recognized from more than 1,800 LPGA professionals worldwide

ALBANY, NY. – The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Professionals announced its list of the Top 50 LPGA Teachers for the years 2022-2023. Kay McMahon, President of eduKaytion Golf and creator of Golf 8.5, has been recognized as one of the members of this esteemed group of female instructors and also named in the Elite class in the Top 50. The Top 50 list identifies and recognizes the best LPGA instructors from more than 1,800 LPGA certified professionals worldwide.

All LPGA Class A Members in good standing who meet the eligibility requirements were invited to apply. An independent golf industry selection committee reviewed eligible applications and identified the LPGA Top 50 Teachers, utilizing a weighted points formula.

“The LPGA is excited to share this list of our incredibly passionate and experienced golf educators,” said Nancy Henderson, the LPGA’s Chief Teaching Officer. “More than 70 percent of our members teach the game of golf for a living and they are dedicated to the advancement of golf through teaching golfers of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game.”

McMahon has been an active member of the LPGA Professionals since 1979 and has been teaching golf for more than 30 years. In 2002, she established eduKaytion Golf based in Albany, N.Y. and Orlando, Fla.  She is the creator and innovator of Golf 8.5 – a simple approach to learning and improving your golf swing.  Golf 8.5 identifies and teaches golfers 8.5 steps to a classic and consistent swing.  McMahon has received numerous awards and accolades during her distinguished teaching career and is a past National President of the LPGA Professionals.
